Why did your organization become a GovRAMP member? 

We joined GovRAMP to reinforce our commitment to the cybersecurity expectations of our public sector clients. As stewards of sensitive employee data across hundreds of government organizations, we recognized that formalizing our security posture through a trusted framework was essential to scaling responsibly, building trust, and supporting long-term success. 

What advice do you have for other providers progressing through the GovRAMP process? 

Approach GovRAMP not as a one-time hurdle, but as a strategic investment in your infrastructure, culture, and credibility. Start early by aligning cross-functional teams—including engineering, legal, and client success—and be proactive about documentation and audit readiness. The more you embed security principles into daily operations, the smoother the journey becomes. 

How do you stay up to date with the evolving cybersecurity landscape? 

We actively monitor NIST updates, CISA guidance, and industry threat reports. Our internal team participates in webinars, partners with consultants, and undergoes continuous training to stay aligned with best practices. We also engage in community-led forums to exchange insights and anticipate future compliance challenges. 

How has GovRAMP benefited your organization so far? 

GovRAMP has strengthened our overall risk posture and helped us communicate trust and security more effectively to both current and prospective clients. It’s also accelerated procurement conversations and fostered deeper relationships with government stakeholders who value transparency and secure operations.

What lessons have you learned from your GovRAMP journey?

One of the biggest lessons was the importance of continuous internal education. Security isn’t confined to your IT team, it must be understood and embraced across every department. We also learned the value of detailed documentation early in the process. A strong paper trail not only supports authorization but also builds organizational muscle memory for future audits.
