This overlay was developed by GovRAMP in collaboration with security experts and government stakeholders to align GovRAMP Low, Moderate, and High Impact Level requirements with common federal requirements, including FedRAMP Rev. 5 Low, Moderate, and High Impact Level standards under NIST SP 800‑53 Revision 5. This alignment helps service providers with assessing and implementing controls that satisfy both state and federal expectations, reducing duplication and accelerating authorization.
