Indianapolis, IN — February 5, 2026 — GovRAMP today announced Jennifer Pittman-Leeper (JPL) as its new Field Chief Information Security Officer (Field CISO), strengthening GovRAMP’s leadership as the organization continues to expand its role as a trusted connector between government and industry.
Pittman-Leeper brings deep public-sector credibility and hands-on cybersecurity leadership to GovRAMP. Her career spans senior roles in state government, enterprise cybersecurity program development, and executive advisory positions within the cybersecurity industry. That experience directly aligns with GovRAMP’s mission to support practical, scalable security across the public sector.
During nearly 15 years with the State of Arizona, Pittman-Leeper helped design and lead enterprise cybersecurity initiatives that emphasized coordination, shared services, and governance. She worked across agencies and jurisdictions to build programs that were operationally sustainable and designed to scale. This approach closely mirrors GovRAMP’s community-driven model.
She later served in senior strategist and Field CISO roles within the cybersecurity industry, advising executive leaders across state and local government and education. In those roles, she focused on whole-of-state strategies, public-private collaboration, and helping organizations translate security requirements into action—bridging the gap between policy, technology, and implementation.
As GovRAMP’s Field CISO, Pittman-Leeper will serve as a strategic advisor to the GovRAMP community, supporting governments, service providers, and partners as they engage with GovRAMP programs. Her role will focus on strengthening alignment, supporting adoption, and ensuring GovRAMP’s work continues to reflect real-world operational needs.
“Jennifer brings exactly the kind of leadership GovRAMP needs at this stage of our growth,” said Tony Sauerhoff, Board President of GovRAMP. “Her experience building collaborative cybersecurity programs within government—and working across the public and private sectors—adds meaningful depth to our organization and reinforces our commitment to trusted, community-driven security.”
“Jennifer understands how cybersecurity programs succeed in practice, not just on paper,” said Leah McGrath, Executive Director of GovRAMP. “She brings clarity, credibility, and a practitioner’s perspective that will directly benefit our members and partners as GovRAMP continues to evolve.”
“I’ve seen firsthand how alignment and collaboration can improve security outcomes,” said Pittman-Leeper. “GovRAMP plays a critical role in bringing stakeholders together, and I’m excited to support the community by helping organizations move forward with confidence and purpose.”
