INDIANAPOLIS, IN – September 10, 2025 — The GovRAMP Board of Directors announced today that Indiana Governor Mike Braun will be honored as the recipient of the 2025 GovRAMP Founders Award during the GovRAMP Cyber Summit, taking place October 2–3, 2025, at the JW Marriott Chicago.
The GovRAMP Founders Award, established in 2024, is presented annually to a leader who demonstrates visionary leadership, steadfast dedication, and significant contributions to advancing cybersecurity for the public sector. Governor Braun will be the sole recipient of the award in 2025.
“Governor Braun has shown tremendous leadership in strengthening Indiana’s cyber resilience and setting a national example for how government can proactively address cyber risk,” said J.R. Sloan, GovRAMP Board President. “His bold action through Executive Order 25-19 reflects the kind of forward-looking governance that embraces innovation while protecting citizens, securing public resources, and fostering a safer digital future.”
Executive Order 25-19, issued by Governor Braun, established a strong, coordinated plan for cyber risk management across the State of Indiana. By uniting government and industry stakeholders under a shared framework, the order has positioned Indiana as a leader among states working to safeguard public data, critical infrastructure, and digital services from evolving cyber threats.
The award presentation will take place on Thursday, October 2, at 11:40 a.m. CT in the Grand Ballroom at the JW Marriott Chicago.
