Approvals Committee

The Approvals Committee serves as the authorizing body for granting GovRAMP Authorized and Provisionally Authorized statuses to service providers. This committee provides technical expertise and government policy guidance to support state and local governments in achieving consistent cybersecurity verification standards for third-party solutions.

Committee members collaborate closely with GovRAMP staff to review security packages, evaluate recommendations from the PMO, and render decisions on provider statuses. Comprised exclusively of government cybersecurity experts, the Approvals Committee ensures that the “verify once, use many” model is upheld, reducing duplication and enhancing trust in cloud security solutions.
